Mojo Weekend Blues School

Mojo Weekends are blues musician workshops run by Josh Jewsbury in Cranbrook, Kent. The dates for 2010 are April 3rd/ 4th. July 17th/ 18th. October 23rd/ 24th. The cost is £285 for the weekend.

Josh, a professional bassist and guitar tutor, has run a number guitar weekends over the past few years, and has teamed up with some respected musicians to provide tuition not only for guitarists but also bassists, drummers and keyboard players too.

“There are a number of dedicated guitar courses available in the UK, and some of them are very good" says Josh. "What we are doing that is different is providing a learning experience in a live band setting, I don’t believe anyone else is doing that currently. We structure the weekend with one-on-one seminars and group classes, and conclude with an end of weekend concert. It’s great to see students putting to good use the skills they have learnt over the weekend. Not only is it a great learning experience, it’s great fun too”

Along with Josh the team consists of:

Dino's style of blues, boogie-woogie and rock'n roll piano playing and a dynamic vocal technique - either as a soloist or in his own band - have grabbed audiences night after night in a varied showcase of entertainment that doesn't rely on any rules and regulations, but a serious element of jamming - sealed with some downright tongue and cheek boldness.
