The Bluesinlondon Green Note jam goes from strength to strength!

"... I decided that the Blues Jam at Green Note in Camden looked a good option. Needles to say, I wasn’t wrong. Hosted by a blues/rhythm ‘n blues band called The Velours, this turned out to be pure heaven for Blues lovers. The band themselves...were as good a blues band as I have heard in a long time and should be listened to whenever possible at their many London gigs... In addition, David Atkinson and Mark Harrison both did some excellent acoustic country blues and Joe X blue us away with his great vocals and mastery of his white Stratocaster. There was also a young guitar player who jammed with the band along with a saxophone player, and both these guys were awesome as well. A brilliant night, I strongly recommend that you check it out one of these Wednesdays" - Peter Coulson

A monthly meeting of minds as some of London's top musicians come together for an eclectic evening of blues and roots inspired jamming. House band The Velours welcome high standard players to join them on stage, and an 'unplugged' segment allows solo/duo acoustic types to do their thing too.

From obscure 1920's country pickin' and Chicago style low down dirty shufflin' all the way through to the most contemporary re-thinking of what 'Blues' can mean today, anything can happen on these nights, and it's all in a in a great bar/restaurant with an excellent organic menu.

• 'Blues-Rock' free - (Sorry all you 'searing' soloists, but that's already well catered for at other jams!)

• Full band line-up including piano/hammond keys and even a harp amp (but bring your own mic!).

• Solo/duo 'unplugged' session as well as full band so all you country pickin' sensitive singer/songwriter types can have a go too.

As well as opening up to competent newcomers, we also reglularly attract some of the top players from the London music scene to come and play so you'll aways be assured of quality music.

All this for just £2 if you're playing or £4 if you've only come to watch.
